Is IdealControl a shipping carrier?

No. IdealControl is logistics management software — it helps operators like shipping agencies, couriers, and casilleros run their operations more efficiently. We don't physically move packages; we give you the tools to manage the people and packages that do.

What exactly does IdealControl do?

IdealControl centralizes package tracking, warehouse operations, client management, multi-branch visibility, and reporting into a single platform. Instead of juggling carrier portals, spreadsheets, and disconnected tools, your team has one unified system with real-time data across all locations.

Can I use IdealControl for multiple locations?

Yes — and that's a core design principle. IdealControl is built for multi-branch operations. Each branch operates independently, but you get a unified view of the entire network. Role-based access means each location's team only sees their own data, while admins can see everything.

Does my clients get their own portal?

Yes. Every IdealControl plan includes the client portal at no extra cost. Your clients get self-service access to track packages, view delivery history, and manage their account — without calling your team. The portal is branded to your agency, not a generic IdealControl look.

Does IdealControl integrate with carriers?

IdealControl has a REST API and webhook support for integrations. You can connect carrier tracking feeds, e-commerce storefronts, accounting software, and custom workflows. We discuss specific integration needs during your demo.

What is a WHR (Warehouse Receipt)?

A Warehouse Receipt (WHR) is a record of packages received at your facility. IdealControl's WHR module lets you register incoming packages, track storage, manage consolidation, and generate receipts — giving both your team and your clients full traceability from intake to delivery.

How does IdealControl handle user roles and permissions?

IdealControl uses role-based access control (RBAC). Roles include super_admin, admin, agency_admin, agency_operator, customer, and cuenta. Each role has specific permissions — for example, an operator at one branch can't see packages at another branch unless they're granted cross-branch visibility.

How do I get started?

Book a demo and we'll walk you through the platform in the context of your specific operation. We learn about your branches, volume, and workflows before proposing a plan. There's no generic pitch — we show you what IdealControl looks like for your use case.

Is there a free trial?

We prefer to do a guided demo first so we can show you the platform configured for your operation. From there, we can discuss a trial period that makes sense. We don't offer generic "14-day free trials" because we don't think that tells you anything useful about whether the software fits your work.

What's the difference between IdealControl and a generic shipping platform?

Most generic platforms are built for consumers or single-location businesses. IdealControl is built for logistics operators who run multi-branch operations, manage client accounts, handle warehouse workflows, and need API integrations with carriers and storefronts. It's software for the operation, not a website for shipping a box.

Does IdealControl support package consolidation?

Yes. The warehouse module supports consolidating multiple incoming packages into a single outgoing shipment — a core requirement for casilleros and package forwarders. Full tracking is maintained throughout the consolidation and delivery process.

How does billing work?

Billing is based on your number of branches, active users, and monthly package volume. We don't charge per client account or lock you into hidden overages. During your demo, we scope the operation and provide a clear, transparent quote.
